WHAT IS CHINESE MEDICINE?
Chinese medicine is a holistic system of healthcare that has been used for over 2,000 years. It is based on the concept that the body is a complex system of interconnected parts and that health is achieved by maintaining a balance of the body’s vital energy, known as Qi (pronounced “chee”).
Unlike Western medicine, which often focuses on treating symptoms, Chinese medicine takes a holistic approach to health and well-being and seeks to treat the root cause of health issues rather than just the symptoms.
Chinese medicine involves a variety of practices and techniques, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, massage, and exercise.
